A Nigerian backs Master's degree from United Kingdom
Mr. Sini Yakubu Wule, who is from Adamawa, won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship in 2021. He added a master’s in public health from Bingham University in Nigeria to his master’s in developing and evaluating interventions from the famous University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom. (Developing and evaluating interventions)
Sini Yakubu Wule is an expert in the field of development. For more than seven years, he has been making and evaluating programs. He is a passionate person who wants to help communities, especially ones that aren’t getting enough help.
He worked very hard to do what he could to help northeast Nigeria get back on its feet after a terrorist group’s insurgent activities in the area over the past ten years. He did this by working as a data tracking officer for the United Nations International Organization of Migration, a monitoring and evaluation officer for Creative Associate International, and a monitoring, evaluation, and learning officer for Nigeria at the Center for Civilians in Conflict.
In 2017, the US government noticed how important he was in this area. This led to him being chosen by the Mandela Washington Fellowship program as one of the most influential young leaders in Nigeria. Sini Yakubu has remained committed to mentoring young people and connecting them to opportunities.
Through this process, he has worked alongside the American University of Nigeria School of Entrepreneurship to mentor young people to access grants from organizations like the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Foundation to start up their businesses and innovations.
